We’re proud to regularly host the most fun-filled, community-centred events in Putney Heath and Roehampton, whether it’s our eco-friendly, pop-up sustainability markets (where you can shop locally and feel good about it), vibrant sip-and-paint sessions (art, wine, and plenty of laughs), or sun-drenched garden parties for the little ones (face painting, games, and Jude’s ice creams all round). No matter the event, we love bringing people together for lively, laid-back gatherings that make the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces and community vibe. There’s always something exciting happening here, pop by and join the fun.

Pawn & play

As the nights draw in and the weather take a turn nothing says winter quite like a roaring fire, large glass of red (Conde Valdemore of course!) and a good game of chess. We will be hosting a table top games every Wednesday evening. Grab a uber-competitive friend that you are set on check-mating or meet new people and neighbours alike to meet your match. Bringing the community together through classic board games like chess, backgammon, checkers and dominoes!

Dancing into December

We are saying HELLO Christmas with a Friday night festive party. Bring your mates, bring your neighbours and bring the community to kick of the colder months. Think festive tunes, plenty of mulled wine and good vibes.

Christmas Market

is it really the festive period if you haven't hunkered down in a cozy pub corner with a glass of mulled wine? Decorated a bauble or two with friends or unleashed your inner creativity with a wreath making master class. This year we will be hosting our first ever Christmas market (Santa's grotto included!). With support from the local church and their carol singers we will be bringing the festive cheer this December. With local business' vendors throughout the pub for those ultimate Christmas gift purchases, from decadent earrings (that are perfect for the other half!) or a children novel from the favorite auntie - the one stop shop some would say. We'll also receive a visit from Santa from 2pm-4pm (he has a busy schedule in December), a wish list station for children to write their wishes and a chance to tell the big guy just how good they have been! Our pub will be adorned with decorations, roaring fires, the destination for festivies! We can't get enough of Christmas and we hope to see you all at our first ever festive market!

Sunday Roasts at the King's Head

Looking for the best Sunday Roast in South West London? Look no further. Located in the heart of Roehampton, the King's Head is the perfect pit stop after a leisurely Sunday stroll through Richmond Park or Putney Heath. We can't wait to see you.

Student networking hub

Every third Thursday of the month, we invite all students to come on down, mingle with mates and network with like minded students. Whether you need a space to practice the guitar with other music students, or have a natter with your fellow house mates about the latest book for reading week we have got you covered. We'll lay on the snacks, think platters of fries and a cheeky sausage roll, you grab the beers... there nothing better than making life-long friendships while at uni and this is the perfect spot to do so!

Beats & Bingo

A bingo extravaganza, think bingo but with a twist. Upbeat music, dancing and possibly a cheeky bit of singing. Get up off your feet and move to the sounds of the beat all while trying to get a FULL HOUSE! Hosted on the last Thursday of every month at 7pm, hosted by Quiz Live our beautiful pub will erupt with a buzz of magical moments to share between friends, family and neighbors.

NYE: all that glitters is GOLD!

A night to remember, a night to dust off those ball gowns (and suits), a night to raise a glass for 2026. With DJ Tizz on the decs from 8pm - 12:30am (and taking requests of course..), see in the new year with friend, family and your neighbours. Think home away from home, a party hosted in your second living room (leave the cleaning up to us!) We want to say thank you to all of those who have walked through our doors, sipped a crisp pint or tasted our fantastic food in 2025. Put on your dancing shoes for The Kings Head first ever NYE party - it's one you wont want to miss! Thank you all for being part of our community, here's to 2026!
