No matter the event, we love bringing people together for lively, laid-back gatherings that make the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces and community vibe. Looking for the best Sunday Roast in South West London? Look no further. Located in the heart of Roehampton, the King's Head is the perfect pit stop after a leisurely Sunday stroll through Richmond Park or Putney Heath. We can't wait to see you.

Pawn & play

As the nights draw in and the weather take a turn nothing says winter quite like a roaring fire, large glass of red (Conde Valdemore of course!) and a good game of chess. We will be hosting a table top games every Wednesday evening. Grab a uber-competitive friend that you are set on check-mating or meet new people and neighbours alike to meet your match. Bringing the community together through classic board games like chess, backgammon, checkers and dominoes!

It's quarter final 3.. the knock outs! What better way to watch the games that with a Sunday roast and Guinness in hand? At 12:30 Winner of Pool D vs Runner up of Pool C. At 16:00 its Quarter final 3, where you'll discover who is heading to the semis!

Thrift shop at The Trafalgar arms!

Our lovely sister pub, The Trafalgar Arms in Tooting, is throwing open the doors to a one-day-only, bargain stuffed, treasure-hunting thrift shop, packed with pre-loved gems, quirky-goodies and “how-is-this-only-£3?!” finds (seriously, it’s rummage-heaven). All in aid of Wooden Spoon, it’s your chance to shop, sip and smugly brag about your sustainable steals. Can’t make it on the day but have a wardrobe bursting with never-worn clothes (tags still on, we see you)? Drop them to us ahead of time and you’ll still be part of the good-cause, good clothes magic.

Youngs Day: posh & peculiar!

To celebrate 194 years of Youngs we are raising £194 for Wooden Spoon Charity. We will be hosting some posh but peculiar a drop in event alongside some competitions to pay homage to John Young, the found of Youngs... his character well 'Posh & Peculiar!'
With creative children's activates- winner of best pub portrait wins a meal for themselves. Scotch egg masterclasses (nothing says pub quite like a scotch egg!) hosted by our wonderful head chef, raffles and so much more! We will also be hosting a auction of weird and wonderful items (site unseen) at 7pm followed by a dog - owner look a like competition.

Beats & Bingo

A bingo extravaganza, think bingo but with a twist. Upbeat music, dancing and possibly a cheeky bit of singing. Get up off your feet and move to the sounds of the beat all while trying to get a FULL HOUSE! Hosted on the last Thursday of every month at 7pm, hosted by Quiz Live our beautiful pub will erupt with a buzz of magical moments to share between friends, family and neighbors.

Kings Head X Jubel Freshers event

Calling all Roehampton and Kingston university students! Be it your first year away from home or if you're about to enter into your 3rd and are having to 'knuckle down' we will be hosting a Jubel garden take over in line with freshers week. Think games in the garden, team building activities and of course a cheeky can of Jubel (or two) on us! Freshers week is all about networking, making friends-for-life and lets be honest stumbling back home to your halls, we are just a stones throw away and the place to be after every lecture through out the academic year... so come introduce yourself to your new local!

It's the day we have all been waiting for! Who will be the winner of the women's rugby world cup 2025! We can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday. At 12:30 it's the decider for 3rd place. The final will be kicking off at 16:00. One winner, one champion. Cheers to that!

What better way to spend a Saturday than at the pub watching all the action of the women's rugby world cup! With four huge games across the day we couldn't think of a better excuse to grab all your friends and pop in for a pint of Guinness or two! To kick start the day we will be showing Canada vs Scotland! At 13:30 its USA vs Samoa! At 14:45 its Wales vs Fiji. Then to round off all the action is England vs Australia at 17:00.

Nothing quite beats a Sunday filled with sport. Kick back and enjoy our Sunday roasts while watching a game or two of the women's rugby world cup. To start the day we have Japan vs Spain at 12:00. Then at 14:00 we will be showing Italy vs Brazil across our two screens so you won't miss any of the live action! At 14:45 its New Zealand vs Ireland. Then to round off the evening at 16:45 it's France vs South Africa!

It's the quarter finals! We've been showing all the live action throughout August and September and time to watch some nail biting action as Top of Pool C meets its challenge from Pool D at 12:00. Quarter final 2 will be shown at 16:00, who will be knocked out the tournament?
